Welcome to the Missions class.
The first part of this class includes choosing any two missionary biographies from a set that includes over forty selections. We hope you are encouraged by what you read and continue to read more on your own. |
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith...let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1 NLT |
The next several lessons focus on reading a book that is designed to help the reader become familiar with God's plan to bless the nations by using ordinary Christians.
The last portion of the class is devoted to exploring the five major catagories of unreached peoples in a unique format designed for indiviaul or small group use.
Unless a lesson is defined by a specific reading assignment or activity, spend two hours to complete each lesson.

Text Books
- Christian Heroes: Then and Now, by Geoff and Janet Benge.
This is a series of over 40 biographies of men and women from the modern missionary era (1700 thru today). All the books are great. You can't go wrong with your selection. Look over the titles and pick what interests you. Read about someone you've never heard of, an area of the world you're not familiar with, or a mission focus that is new to you.
- The Abrahamic Revolution, by Todd Ahrend.
"This book helps us understand the missional theme of God's Word, the task remaining in God's world, and our calling to God's work. God's purpose is one continuous and all-encompassing movement to redeem people from every tribe, tongue, and nation." (Source: Amazon).
